LP Kangasala made it to the women’s volleyball Challenge Cup with a nice finish.
In Thursday’s second leg, it defeated the Austrian Kelaq Wildcats Klagenfurt 3–2 (25–22, 23–25, 13–25, 25–16, 15–12) after a 2–3 loss away from home. The golden set, which decided the next place, went to the home team 15–12.
In the next round, LP Kangasala will meet the Israeli Maccabi Haifa Carmeli, who made it directly to the 1/16 round.
In the actual match, Kangasala’s best scorers had made no less than seven saves Laura Laukkanen 18/+14, Delay Pyhäjärvi 16/+10, Netta Rekola 11/+9 and Iina Andrikopoulou 11/+5.
