German consumer confidence fell by 27.4 percent in July. Analysts had expected a slightly lower drop of 27.3 percent. In June, German consumer confidence was minus 26 percent.
In France, meanwhile, consumer confidence fell for the sixth month in a row for June, landing at 82, the lowest level since 2013.
