Love Island premiered in TV4 a week ago. The program is usually broadcast live, but this year it is pre -recorded. In the program, ten participants look for love. Mattias Forsell, 25 years from Gothenburg is one of them.

Mattias Forsell is filming Grandma on the couch when she looks at the program. She thinks the guy in striped shirt is very similar to the grandchild. But not even when he says it is he believes in him.

Grandma lives just a hundred meters from Mattias Forsell in Mölndal, outside Gothenburg. They usually meet and look at Love Island together.

What does she think of your efforts so far?

– She thinks I’ve done well. If there is any drama, I laugh with it. She says she recognizes me from home. She is satisfied.

Mattias Forsell also kept his participation secret for the father, but there his brothers were told about it while he was down on recording.

– I have a video when Dad finds out too, but I haven’t posted it yet. He had heard that I was asked, but thought I had said no. He just: “No, I thought he had released that shit,” he laughs.
