The Swedish edition of the Netflix program “Love is blind” has engaged the entire Swedish people during January 2024. In the program, the participants must get engaged without having seen each other. In “Love is blind Sweden”, the viewers have been able to follow the couple Krisse-Ly Kuldkepp and Rasmus Hedenstedt, Sergio Rincón and Amanda Jonegård, Catja Lövstrand and Christopher Pocock, Lucas Gustavsson and Emilia Holmqvist and Oskar Nordstrand and Meira Omar.

Criticism of “Love is blind Sweden”
But the program has not only been a success in Sweden, but also qualified for Netflix’s global top list. In contrast, the Swedish version of the program has aroused strong reactions among the international audience.

In an interview with News24 gives participant Oskar Nordstrand answers to speeches.
– I’ve seen headlines about it, but I really don’t agree.
– Maybe there is more substance to the title than I know about. But if I go back and think about the time when we recorded in the capsules and how we talked to each other, in my opinion there was incredibly little talk about: “I wonder what she looks like, think about this or that”. Then maybe a frog slips out from someone here or there. But I wouldn’t say they were dominant topics of conversation at all.

During the reunion, a whole bunch of news was dropped. It then emerged that Sergio is already the father of a secret child, and that Amanda is pregnant. Catja also told us that she found love in Andreas “Adde” Tzelidis.
Oskar Nordstrand: “They have to stand for their opinions”
Some viewers, and also a number of participants, have been critical and questioning of Meira and Oskar’s relationship during the course of the program. However, the couple themselves stood their ground, and said that their relationship developed behind the cameras.
When News24 met Oskar, shortly before the reunion aired on Netflix, he was asked how it felt to hear what the other participants have said during the course of the program.
– I take most things with a grain of salt. I think a lot of us had a really good relationship while we were recording everything. For quite obvious reasons, because during the entire capsule period, you do not have access to mobile phones or any contact with the outside world. Then you only have your boyfriends in there to lean on, and you almost had to treat those relationships well.
– I don’t think that there are so many strange things that are said. There is little mention of this uncertainty in my and Meira’s relationship, that there are people who have opinions about it. What you have to take with you there is that they don’t meet us 24/7. They meet us a little from time to time, and then you form your opinion and that’s perfectly fine. But they have to stand for those opinions.
