Lost star takes lead role in new Yellowstone series

The end of Yellowstone is sealed and will flicker across our screens this year with the second part of the fifth season – without Kevin Costner. The story will then continue in the spin-off series The Madison, which will be led by a new cast but will also bring back old faces from the main series.

After it was confirmed a few weeks ago that Michelle Pfeiffer will play the female lead in The Madison, she has now been joined by a prominent star: Matthew Fox.

Lost star Matthew Fox joins Yellowstone series The Madison

As Deadline reports, Fox will play the lead role alongside Pfeiffer in the new western series from Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan. The actor joins the new cast, which so far consists of Suits alumni Patrick J. Adams, Elle Champan (A Man Called Otto), Beau Garrett (Always There for You) and Amiah Miller (Lights Out).

The series revolves around a family from New York City that settles in the Madison River Valley in Montana. Pfeiffer takes on the role of wealthy matriarch Stacey Clyburn, who starts a new life with her daughters Paige (Chapman) and Abigail (Garrett) after the death of her brother. Fox will play the headstrong Bachelor Paul who has a passion for outdoor adventures.

Matthew Fox in Lost

Fox is best known to series fans for his role as island doctor Dr. Jack Shepherd in the mystery hit Lost. After that, things went rather quiet for the actor, who says he has largely withdrawn from acting to devote himself to his family and hobbies. Individual appearances in series such as Last Light and C*A*U*G*H*T brought Fox back onto the Hollywood radar in recent years.

When is the Yellowstone sequel The Madison with Matthew Fox coming out?

Filming for the first season of The Madison is scheduled to begin in Montana, New York and Texas in August 2024. The Yellowstone sequel will then 2025 on Paramount+ be published.
