Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Druckmann said that the series will include at least one element from each level. However, the shooting of the series has not started yet and since we thought it would be good, the series also said that everything could change. The series is planned to include Sewers, Jackson Party and Boar Hunt from The Last of Us 2 Lost Levels. Druckmann stated that the focus on the series remains the same and that he wants to adapt the story in the best way possible while remaining true to the themes and intent of the original story.
Druckmann announced that he was working on The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered to help with the next season. Druckmann explained that he was working on commentary and cinematics for the remaster, and that he and co-producer Craig Mazin were creating the story of the second season in the afternoon. Druckmann worked on the remaster and developed the details of the story and served as a researcher on these details.
There is still no update on the multiplayer version of The Last of Us Part 2, which is facing a lot of difficulties. When Druckmann was asked about his current situation, he said: “I have no intention of making a detailed comment on The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered.” However, he also noted that Naughty Dog has other projects in the works.
The shooting of The Last of Us Season 2 has been postponed until February 20, 2024 due to actor Pedro Pascal’s busy schedule.
