Lost Ark Server Down – Everything about the biggest patch since release

Lost Ark’s weekly update is going gigantic today, August 16th. Because the August patch “Wield the Storm” is the largest that has been in our version of the MMORPG so far. We at MeinMMO summarize.

What’s in the update? A lot. The entire August update patch notes are a whopping 80 pages long, about 22,000 words. But we’ll break that down to the highlights for you here.

  • The new raid boss Akkan comes into play, increases the maximum Gearscore and brings new gear for the endgame. You can challenge him at item level 1,580.
  • The new Air Dancer class is also now available. She carries an umbrella as her weapon and controls the weather to deal high damage.
  • Daily tasks are simplified and improved. You can now get through Chaos Dungeons around 25% faster. You also only have to do guard raids once a day instead of twice as before.
  • The complete start of the game up to Gearscore 1,340 will be fundamentally revised and compressed. By merging Tiers 1 and 2, you should get through the story and endgame faster and with significantly less grind.
  • Three new events will primarily pick up new players and returnees and help them get through Gearscore 0 to 1,540 more easily and quickly. There are tons of useful gifts.
  • The card system and the traveling dealers have been reworked so that they are now more user-friendly. This should give you access to important cards more quickly and easily.
  • Newbies get a Mokoko buff that actually makes them briefly immortal. This is to prevent gatekeeping.
  • A major balancing update affecting a large number of classes. Among the big winners are the shadow hunter, the spear bearer and the marksman. The butcher had to take it hard.
  • Tons of bug fixes, UI changes and improved gamepad support, as well as slight graphics upgrades.

    Lost Ark will be offline for 15 hours today, August 16th

    How long is the server status offline? The Lost Ark servers go offline, either at 9:00 or 10:00 German time. The patch notes currently say 10 a.m., but 9 a.m. on Twitter. You will not be available for around 15 hours. If everything goes according to plan, you won’t be able to gamble again until late at night.

    How are the fans reacting? The atmosphere in the official Lost Ark Reddit is gigantic. All of the community’s demands over the last few weeks have been met with the August patch, and there really aren’t any negative voices.

    Instead, players enjoy little things that are almost hidden in the patch notes. The fact that you can no longer be knocked over in Chaos Dungeons, or that the frog has returned, from which you can buy legendary engravings for gold, is mentioned particularly frequently.
