Today, August 24th, the major Under the Sun update arrives for Lost Ark. In addition to new skins and features, it also brings useful improvements for the MMORPG and new restrictions. We at MeinMMO summarize.

What’s in the update? As the name suggests, the big August update “Under the Sun” focuses on summer. You can expect some new features, which we have presented in detail in a separate article.

However, there is new information above all for the bug fixes and the power passes. So now, after almost 3.5 weeks, the fee-based power passes are also being activated again. As compensation for the long absence, 25% discount on all passes until September 7th.

But new restrictions are also coming with the passes, which anyone can now use. This is primarily aimed at new players, as these restrictions only apply if the highest Gearscore on your account is increased by using a power pass.

So if you buy a power pass that also pushes Gearscore 1,302 and previously only had a character with item level 460, then the following restrictions apply to you for 72 hours:

  • The gold payment request cannot be received
  • Gold cannot be sent as an attachment
  • Items cannot be sent as a postal attachment
  • Currency cannot be sent during a 1:1 trade
  • Items cannot be offered during a 1:1 trade
  • Items cannot be purchased or registered on the market
  • Items cannot be bought, bid for, or registered on the auction house
  • Unable to participate in loot auction
  • Crystals cannot be bought

    Lost Ark will be offline for 4 hours today, August 24th

    How long is the server status offline? As usual, the servers will go offline today at 9:00 a.m. German time and will remain so for an estimated four hours for the August update. After that, you can log in and enjoy the new content.

    We will of course keep you updated on when the servers come back online and will update this article accordingly.

    As an exception, you must also expect a major update on Steam, as some new skins and thus new textures must be included in the game. The pet ranch shouldn’t be particularly small either.
