Province of Utrecht – Cyclist Lorena Wiebes did not start in the Tour of Italy for women on Thursday. The 24-year-old from Mijdrecht will give up after six of the nine stages with a view to the Tour de France Femmes, which starts on July 23. Wiebes finished second in Italy on Wednesday behind the all-powerful Annemiek van Vleuten.
