Sauron meets Adar in Season 1 of The Rings of Power

Do you want to see the opening [von Staffel 2] know? We begin in darkness. A wall of Orcs enters and we see thousands of Orcs gathered. Someone is about to be crowned and presents his vision of Middle Earth. And just before the crown touches his head, his right hand man, Adar, turns everything upside down and stabs him in the back. It is the murder of Sauron.

Already season 1 brought the orc leader Adar together with Halbrand/Sauron and hinted at a larger background storyThe shared past of the two characters is now being explored in Season 2. And the fact that Adar did not recognize Sauron in the form of Halbrand was apparently because someone else embodied him in this flashback.
