Peter Jackson is not alone in his opinion: The horror film with a manageable 4.5 million dollar budget has already far exceeded its forecast earnings and is still rising (currently 36 million). According to Rotten Tomatoes, Talk to Me wins over critics (95%) and audiences (82%) alike with its intense mix of shock and character depth.

Because the New Zealander Peter Jackson is geographically a compatriot of the Australian director duo, he should be all the more pleased about the success of the young filmmakers.
