This naval battle takes place on the Midway Islands, located in the northwest of the Hawaiian archipelago in the Pacific, with the two powers each seeking to take control of this territory.

During this Battle of Midway, the Japanese army set about bombing three American aircraft carriers near the islands of the archipelago, resulting in a merciless battle between the two armies. Result: four Japanese aircraft carriers sink, against only one among the Americans. The rivalry between the two powerful however will continue to rage in this area of ​​the globe during the conflict but will weaken the Japanese fleet.
