Engström killed Ing-Marie Wieselgren, chief physician in psychiatry and psychiatry coordinator at Sweden’s municipalities and regions (SKR), during the Almedal Week this summer. But it was later discovered that Annie Lööf must also have been a target.
Theodor Engström is charged with terrorist crimes through murder and for preparation for terrorist crimes, directed at Annie Lööf. He mapped Lööf for several years and also photographed her on several occasions, something that created great discomfort for the party leader.
– At the same time, I feel this way afterwards that it was very nice to sit there (in the courtroom) and take in the atmosphere, hear everything. Because it is an important part of my processing, says Lööf in the interview.
The verdict will be announced on December 6
The trial, which began on November 8, lasted five days. Prosecutors in the case are seeking a life sentence as punishment, but that sentence won’t come until early December.
