“Longer, bloodier and doesn’t improve anything”: Netflix’s sci-fi spectacle Rebel Moon is once again torn to pieces by critics in a new version

Longer bloodier and doesnt improve anything Netflixs sci fi spectacle Rebel

Bloodier is always better. That is perhaps what some of those responsible for Netflix’s sci-fi blockbusters Rebel Moon – Part 1: Child of Fire and Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scarmaker thought, which were recently released in a harder version. A look at the reviews, however, shows that the new version leaves many unimpressed.

Netflix’s sci-fi action Rebel Moon is now more brutal – but also better?

The reviews of the tamer versions of the two Rebel Moon films have often been negative, as a look at Rotten Tomatoes shows. Judging by most of the reactions, more violence, sex and strong language have not much has changed.

Watch the trailer for the director’s cuts of the Rebel Moon films here:

Longer, bloodier and improves nothing“, explains Forbes . “Anyone who was not convinced by the first version will not be impressed by the new version either“, agrees The Wrap. According to JoBlo, the harder version is still a respectable sci-fi film, but now with extra length, guts and nipples.

The new versions felt like someone was rearranging chairs on the Titanic, according to Collider: You might enjoy new furniture, but its weight would only drag the ship down even faster.

Nevertheless, there are bright spots for some viewers, as the Forbes review opens. The two films should have been released immediately in the new version, according to the statement. The Action is better in the uncut version, because it is not interrupted by various cuts.

When is Rebel Moon 3 coming to Netflix?

Director Zack Snyder wants to release at least one more sequel to his sci-fi series. However, it is still unclear whether and when part 3 will come to Netflix. 2026 we do not expect a publication.
