Several people are sentenced to prison by the Östersund district court after the police blew up a drug gang in Åre in September.

A person who acted as a distributor receives five years and four months in prison, while a person who cheated is sentenced to three years and two months in prison, writes Östersunds-Posten. It is about various serious drug crimes.

In addition, a Norwegian couple who were caught by the police with several kilos of narcotics and thousands of narcotic-classified tablets in a hotel room in Östersund are arrested. The man and woman, who are said to have bought the drug from the distributor, get three years and four months in prison and three years in prison, respectively.

According to the district court judgment, it is a cross-border activity.

“It is thus beyond reasonable doubt that the narcotics were intended for sale and that the final destination of the narcotics was Norway,” writes the court, according to ÖP.
