LoL posts huge changes for the most thankless role in the game, quickly deletes the post

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The Jungle is considered the least popular position in League of Legends. However, so that players are no longer deterred by this, Riot now wants to completely revise the position. Maybe. Because the information was immediately deleted again.

What is this position? As a jungler, you have several tasks in League of Legends and use special mechanics to your advantage:

  • You get experience and gold mainly from monsters in the forest.
  • Your main task is to guard the paths between the lanes and to “gank”, i.e. to enable kills for your teammates.
  • You also manage important buffs such as the dragon, the Rift Herald or Baron Nashor.
  • But the role is extremely unpopular and thankless. Basically, it’s the jungler’s fault if something doesn’t work. Because you are actually quite important for the team, but at the same time you have a really difficult job. Pros even advise against playing jungler.

In order to take some of the bad reputation out of the jungler position, Riot is apparently considering really big revisions. However, the post apparently came too early and disappeared from the website.

Bel’veth is the newest dedicated jungler, and is so powerful that she gets banned an absurd number of times. See the Void Empress in the trailer here:

Jungle is supposed to get new items and even pets

This is what the post supposedly said: As PCGamesN reports, the current jungler items should be exchanged for new ones. There should also be help for paths that lead through the forest – so that you don’t have to resort to websites or learn everything by heart.

But perhaps the biggest change is that companions (“pets”) will come to help you with the jungle. Such a feature would be especially helpful for AP junglers like Lillia, who traditionally have bigger problems early in the game when they’re still doing little damage.

However, Riot is said to be planning the rework to simplify entry as a jungler and to close the gap between strong and weak players in the position. According to PCGamesN, the post said:

“Once clear optimization is no longer the major barrier to entry for junglers, there will be far more champions to play there. The meta is less set in stone. The jungle itself doesn’t tell you that you’re bad at the game just because you picked Warwick and you’re fighting the raptors. Skill should be rewarded across the roster, not just the select few who are efficient at clearing up the jungle.”

We can no longer check the information because the post has since been deleted. He is said to have appeared on Garena, the League of Legends Southeast Asia news blog.

When will the rework come out? According to information, the changes are pending for the 2023 preseason. However, this is still a few months away and is not expected to start until around November 2022. You will probably find out by then whether and how the changes will come.
