A preliminary investigation into gross misconduct in connection with the appointment of Linda Staaf as head of intelligence for the National Operative Department (Noa) by Löfving in 2015 is ongoing.

Now the prosecutor Bengt Åsbäck confirms for Today’s news that the question of the service weapon will also be included in the investigation.

Löfving awarded Staaf a service weapon, a Sig Sauer pistol, in 2020 despite the refusal of two members of the police, the education unit and a deputy chief of staff at Noa. They referred to Staaf not having received all the necessary training to carry weapons in the service.
