Things went wrong with the space rocket developed by a private company called Space Pioneer. During the test, the rocket was launched accidentally.
ACCIDENTALLY FIRED AND CRASHED
In the accident that occurred in the Henan region of China last Sunday, the rocket first rose several meters into the air. The rocket, which accidentally fired itself, started to fall after a while and hit a mountainous area. The images of the moment the Tianlong-3 rocket exploded went viral on social media.
STATEMENT FROM THE COMPANY
Tianbing Technology, responsible for the rocket, said there was a “structural error” involved in the incident. It was stated that the malfunction in the connection between the rocket body and the test setup caused the rocket to take off.
The computer inside the rocket automatically shut down, and the spacecraft crashed into the ground 1.5 kilometers southwest of the test site.
The explosion caused debris to fly around, but there were no deaths or injuries. People in the area were evacuated.
