Locarno International Film Festival: “Tales from the Purple House” by Abbas Fadhel

In Switzerland, in the canton of Ticino, the Locarno film festival takes up its summer quarters as it does every year, transforming the small town on the shores of Lake Maggiore into a melting pot of world film enthusiasts. For this 75th edition, 226 films including 17 in competition are presented. One of them, Tales from the Purple Houseis a three-hour fresco on contemporary Lebanon, by Abbas Fadhel.
