Visscher and Pontjodikromo started playing tennis around the age of four. And they both turned out to be so talented that they entered the professional circuit before their twentieth birthday. But while they dream of Wimbledon and Roland Garros, they are still playing tournaments in Tunisia and Turkey, where the winner has to make do with a prize money of no more than 1,500 euros. “For most tournaments you spend more on travel, accommodation and food,” says Pontjodikromo, who pays his expenses through sponsorship. “I am very grateful to my parents for their financial support. I couldn’t do this without them,” adds Visscher.
