Thijs scoops a bucket of water from the Leidsche Rijn. On the other side of the water, hordes of people cycle past during the morning rush hour. People regularly watch the scene of feeding chickens, cuddling goats and collecting eggs. Thijs and Rinske realize every day how special this place is, in the middle of Utrecht. It’s like a fairy tale, says Rinke. “Especially when the chickens follow you, like the birds in Snow White.”
