At least 36 people have died and another 30 have been injured in the extensive forest fires that have ravaged the Hawaiian island of Maui. Large parts of the city of Lahaina have been destroyed and Jamie Brown, a resident of the city, is one of the thousands who were forced to flee their homes.
– We have had no mobile coverage and have not been able to contact the outside world, he says.
