Liverpool once again served a bitter lime to Chelsea in defeat – FA Cup settlement seen only in penalty shootout

Liverpool once again served a bitter lime to Chelsea in

The crew of Jürgen Klopp is concerned about the injuries of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool and Chelsea staged a show in the English Cup final, where the scoring only opened in the penalty shootout. In it, Liverpool took the win and celebrated the eighth Men’s Cup championship in their club history.

The solution to the final at Wembley in London was only seen in the seventh pair of shots. A successful shot by Liverpool’s Konstantinos Tsimikas ended the penalty shootout at 6-5.

The nasty news for Liverpool is injuries to important players. Paint cannon Mohamed Salah apparently hurt his groin after more than half an hour of play and came on for a substitution. If the injury is severe, it will be a big setback for Liverpool, who are playing in the Champions League in two weeks.

Head coach Jürgen Kloppin there is an equally large loss for the crew if Virgil van Dijk is on the sidelines for the next few weeks. The Dutch stop was taken off the field at the end of the second half.

Both had places to settle

Liverpool came to the finals as a hurricane, and especially Luis Diaz caused major problems for Chelsea at the start of the match. Diaz had a few good opportunities to take the lead, but the home team’s goalkeeper made the save Trent Alexander-Arnoldin after a fine feed. Edouard Mendy rejected.

As the halftime ages, Chelsea got better into the game and created a couple of good stakes. The start of the second half was the complete opposite of the first, as it was now Chelsea’s turn to head to Liverpool.

Right at the beginning of the second half Chelsea Christian Pulisic shot and Liverpool Alisson Becker rejected. Right after Marcos Alonso shot a ball from the side free kick into the top corner of Liverpool’s goal. A few minutes later, Diaz’s itch went a little over.

At the end of the second half, Liverpool were on the verge of a hit when Diaz first fired the ball into the pole in the 83rd minute and a minute later Andrew Robertson guided the ball close to the post.

With the win, Liverpool’s dream of four big titles during the same season survived. The team has already won the league cup before, is in the Champions League final and has hopes of winning the Premier League. The Premier League, however, seems to be swearing at Manchester City. Liverpool and Chelsea were also at odds in the league cup final, and even then the solution was only seen in the penalty shootout.
