LIVE Wimbledon 2024 Medvedev faces Alcaraz for a place in

Men’s semi-final day with Carlos Alcaraz facing Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti.

Live

14:25 – Rybakina’s disappointment

While the world number four had started perfectly against Krejcikova, Elena Rybakina got tangled up in her tennis and lost her game. Opposite, the Czech took full advantage of it but it was a real underperformance from Rybakina, who was the big favourite for the final victory.

14:15 – Centre Court roof open

There is no rain forecast for London today and the roof should be open for the semi-finals on Friday. An important element, especially if it is the case for the second semi-final between Lorenzo Musetti and Novak Djokovicas the Serbian is impressive when we move to indoor conditions.

14:05 – The Paolini revelation

Yesterday, Jasmine Paolini qualified for a second consecutive Grand Slam final after an exceptional match against Donna Vekic, won in the super tie-break of the third set. The Italian is 3rd in the Race and will be ranked 5th in the world on Monday.

13:55 – Alcaraz for the double

Winner last year, Carlos Alcaraz can go for a second consecutive final at Wimbledon. And it is the same opponent as last year that he finds in the semi-final. The Spaniard will have to repeat a performance as complete as in 2023, where the variation imposed on Medvedev had made the Russian crack.

13:45 – Medvedev is back

Daniil Medvedev seemed to be falling behind in the world hierarchy since the rise of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. In the quarter-finals, the Russian rediscovered his shooting quality and managed to beat the world number one to reach the semi-finals for the first time in his career.

13:35 – Musetti’s revenge against Djokovic?

The match between the two men was epic at Roland-Garros, ending at more than 3am. This time, Lorenzo Musetti and Novak Djokovic are in the semi-finals of Wimbledon. While there were doubts about his participation until the day before the start of the tournament, Djokovic has gained momentum in the tournament, and is once again the favourite.
