Mariupol Theatre: first assessment. More than 130 people have been rescued from a theater building bombed by the Russian army, but “hundreds” of others remain under the rubble, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday. The Mariupol City Council has reported at this stage at least one serious injury, but no deaths.

Zelensky calls for serious discussion. The Ukrainian president appealed to Moscow, saying it was “time” to discuss “peace and security” otherwise the consequences for Russia will be felt over several generations. “Peace and security negotiations for Ukraine are Russia’s only chance to minimize the damage caused by its own mistakes,” Zelensky said in a video posted on Facebook.

Bombing near Lviv airport. Russian “missiles” yesterday destroyed an aeronautical factory in the airport district of Lviv, a large Ukrainian city near the Polish border, without causing any casualties, according to its mayor Andriy Sadovy.
