15:05 – The entire UAE team at the front
Pogacar’s entire team is now at the front of the peloton, with Marc Soler expected to pick up the pace on the Col de Néronne.
14:55 – 10 kilometers from the Col de Néronne
We are approaching the first big climb of the day, the riders are currently on a false flat, a common thread since the start of this stage.
14:48 – The breakaway accelerates
The leading group decided to put a little more effort into the front of the race. The 10 men now have almost a 2-minute lead.
14:45 – Fred Wright in perdition
The Bahrain-Victorious rider was dropped by the peloton at the start of the stage and is now riding alone with a 22-minute deficit.
14:40 – The gap is closing
With just 1’30” between the peloton and the breakaway, the outcome of the stage is not in doubt.
14:32 – 1’45” lead for the breakaway
The UAE’s work is effective, the gap stagnates around 1’43”. Discouraging for the breakaway, but it promises a very exciting finale.
14:26 – The runners on a false flat
The group at the front of the race is on a small uncharted climb, but the percentages are still 7 to 8%.
14:22 – Another 80 kilometers
80 kilometers from the finish in this 11th stage, but still 35 kilometers before the ascent of the Col de Néronne. There is still time before the final explanation.
14:11 – 85 kilometers from the finish
Tadej Pogacar’s teammates continue to ride at the front of the peloton and control the gap around two minutes. No big hope for Carapaz, Healy (EF Education Easypost), Bernard (Lidl-Trek), Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ), Vercher (TotalEnergies), Armirail, Lapeira (Decathlon-AG2R), Martin (Cofidis), Lazkano (Movistar) and Onley (dsm-Firmenich).
14:05 – Vingegaard expects a difficult stage
“I expect a very tough stage and attacks in the final. We are ready and we will see what the other guys do. Do I feel a little underestimated? I don’t know. I think it’s normal considering the injuries I had. As I said several times, I don’t know how I will be in the second and third weeks, so I don’t worry about that. I do my race, I take it day by day, and we will see what the result will be in Nice” explained the Danish rider before the start of the 11th stage of the Tour.
13:55 – Less than 2′
The gap is already melting with the breakaway, only 1’52” ahead for the 10 leading men.
13:51 – Only 100 kilometers to go
There are only 100 kilometers left in this 11th stage and the hardest part is yet to come for the Tour de France riders.
13:45 – UAE controls the race
Pogacar’s teammates control the breakaway with only 2’30” behind. Tadej Pogacar could have an idea behind his head…
1:40 p.m. – Regroup!
The French group has returned to the front of the race. There are now 10 at the front. Carapaz, Healy (EF Education Easypost), Vercher (TotalEnergies), Lapeira (Decathlon-AG2R), Lazkano (Movistar) and Onley (dsm-Firmenich), Armirail (Decathlon-AG2R), Martin (Cofidis), Bernard (Lidl-Trek) and Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ), then the peloton.
