After a historic evening, the day is still full for French swimming with Florent Manaudou and Léon Marchand imperial in the morning series.

- Florent Manaudou has launched his Olympics! The flag bearer of the French delegation, entered in the 50m freestyle series at 11:37, finished first in his series in 21’54 and is heading to the final. Maxime Grousset, 4th in his series, will also be in the semi-finals with the 16th time.
- Competing in the 200m medley heats, Léon Marchand was once again imperial, finishing second in his heat in a relaxed manner. Pauline Mahieu and Emma Terebo qualified for the semi-finals of the 200m backstroke.

Relaxed, Léon Marchand finished his series in 2nd position and went to the semi-final of this 200m medley in 1’57”86.

And that’s an understatement, Léon Marchand arrives for his series to a standing ovation. The Frenchman is truly the star of these Paris Olympics.

Maxime Grousset qualified well, but only in 16th position by 3 hundredths.

In a very difficult series with notably the British Benjamin Proud, Maxime Grousset finished in 21’94. It should pass, but it is not yet certain!
11:39 – Manaudou wins his series
Perfect start for Florent Manaudou in his 50m freestyle series! The Frenchman finished in 21’54”, his best time being 21’52, it’s perfect!

Florent Manaudou arrived in the pool, already to a huge ovation from the crowd. The Frenchman is one of the big favourites and it should go quite smoothly.
11:22 – Let’s go for the 50m!
The first series of the 50m are launched! Florent Manaudou and Maxime Grousset are expected in a few minutes.
11:19 – Mahieu also
It was close but Pauline Mahieu took the 14th time in the series and also made it to the semi-final of the women’s 200m backstroke!
11:19 – Terebo qualified
With a time of 2’09”66, the Frenchwoman qualified for the semi-finals of the women’s 200m backstroke.
11:18 – Pauline Mahieu 7th in her series, Emma Terebo 3rd
The two French women competing in the 200m backstroke series finished in 3rd place for Emma Terebo and 7th place for Pauline Mahieu.

For the moment, the best time of the series is for the Chinese Peng in 2’08”29. Now it’s the turn of the French who can reach the semi-finals.
When are the Olympic swimming events?
The swimming events will begin on Saturday, July 27, with the first medals awarded in the evening, with the finals of the 400 meters and the 4x100m freestyle. The events will last nine days, until Sunday, August 4.
Where do the tests take place?
The pool swimming events will take place at the Défense Arena in Nanterre. The open water swimming will take place in the Seine, with a finish at the Pont Alexandre III. Finally, diving, water polo and artistic swimming will be at the Aquatique centre in Saint-Denis.
