Ludovic Louis album Rebirth (Ludo Louis Prod)
Ludovic Louis
Long before touring the most beautiful stages in the world alongside international artists, Ludovic Louis began his career as a trumpeter at the heart of a family passionate about music. After being nurtured by a violinist grandfather in his spare time and a father awakening him to various musical colors, the child from Le Havre enlisted in Jazz studies. First at JUPO alongside Alain Loisel, then at the School of Music with Sylvain Maillard, where he obtained his diploma in classical trumpet in 2000.
By settling in Paris in 2003, Ludovic began to collaborate with artists such as Orishas, Jimmy Cliff, Florent Pagny, or even more recently Slimane or Christophe Maé. But it was in 2009 that he met Lenny Kravitz.
From this meeting will result nearly 10 years of collaboration around the world, where the Rock Star will not hesitate to offer his audience the talent of Ludovic through his improvised solo performances.
From the biggest stadiums to the most cutting-edge festivals, such as Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and many others, the trumpeter comes to electrify the crowd a little more thanks to his incredible solos. In 2012, he was also offered to renew the experience by playing a solo for the icons Muhammad Ali and Quincy Jones, in Las Vegas during the “Black and White America Tour”.
By settling in Los Angeles in 2013, the French artist went on to collaborate with, among other renowned artists, Kanye West and his Sunday Service, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, The Black Eyed Peas, and The Meters.
In parallel to this and throughout his career, Ludovic participates as a musician in various television programs such as The Grammys, The Voice, American Idol, or the Jimmy Fallon show.
In 2020, a new opportunity presented itself to Ludovic Louis and it was under the direction of Damien Chazelle that he made his debut as an actor in “The Eddy”. Through this Netflix series, the artist embodies the character of Ludo, trumpet player in a jazz club.
