Final evening at the Stade de France with perhaps the first trinket in the 3000m steeplechase.
The essential
- Another evening in athletics at the Stade de France with perhaps the very first medal for the French delegation with Alice Finot in the 3000m steeplechase
- This morning, the French record holder in the javelin throw, Teuraiterai Tupaia, injured in the elbow, did not qualify for the final. In the long jump, Hilary Kpatcha will however be in the final. Raphaël Mohamed and Wilhem Belocian passed the repechage in the 110m hurdles and join Sasha Zhoya in the semi-finals. Ryan Zeze also joins the semi-finals in the 200m, unlike Pablo Mateo. In the 1500m heats, the French champion Agathe Guillemot also qualified for the semi-finals by finishing 5th in the race.

The selection of the French team for the Olympic Games
The final selection of the list of athletes participating in the athletics events will be published on July 8, 2024 (May 14 for the marathon). However, some athletes have already achieved the Olympic minimums and should be part of the list, which allows a maximum of three athletes per discipline. 50% of the places will be allocated by the minimums, and 50% via the world ranking.
