What are the health risks?
The reason these cheeses are currently being recalled is because a microbiological test has revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in this product. This bacteria could cause listeriosis, a serious infection.
The Rappel conso site therefore invites consumers “who have consumed the products mentioned above and who have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches and body aches, to consult their doctor and report this consumption.“.
Moreover,”severe forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur“, the site specifies.
Fragile individuals (pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly) should therefore be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks.
Consumers should stop consuming this product and return it to the point of purchase for a refund. For more information, contact consumer service at 0443128132. The recall process ends on August 26, 2024.
