What noises come from the street to the wide-open windows? In Cairo, in Quito, in Hanoi, in Naples, the voices of street vendors and passers-by stretch out, call out to each other, resonate. At the crossroads of four continents, in Egypt, Ecuador, Vietnam and Italy, a sound deployment of voices that carry far.

Listen to the world is a radio program that can be listened to as a podcast, but also a participatory platform dedicated to listening. It archives and provides free access to more than 200 sound recordings sent from all over the world, to be found on The sound map.
