Listen to the world at dawn

Listen to the world at dawn

What is the noise of the world when you wake up? From the song of the birds of Andavadoaka, through a flock of bells in Paris, to the voices of the first prayers of the day in Dakar, to the cries of the birds on the banks of the Mékrou river… a sound piece at the dawn of the world.

Listen to the World is a radio show that can be listened to as a podcast here, but also a participatory platform dedicated to listening. It archives and provides free access to more than 200 sound recordings sent from all over the world, to be found on The sound map.

Listen to the world at dawn was recorded by Michel Créïs in Paris and Dakar, François Porcheron in Andavadoaka, an unknown author on the banks of the Mékrou river.
