A severe fire broke out on February 12 at Liseberg’s Oceana water park, which was supposed to open this summer. A man in his 50s died during the fire.
Liseberg has previously issued information that the damage after the fire at Oceana is less than expected. And now it is necessary, among other things, to protect and secure intact parts.

However, large parts of the water park must be demolished and cleaned.
“The work that will now begin involves lifting and transporting fire debris, dismantling parts that cannot be reused, cleaning up the site to enable new construction and disposing of the extinguishing water that remains on the site,” writes Liseberg in a press release.
