Florida had played six consecutive home games without a loss. But the streak was broken when Boston and Swedish goalkeeper Linus Ullmark came to visit Sunrise in Fort Lauderdale.
Ullmark was in top form and took 27 shots as league leaders Boston beat Florida 3-1 in NHL ice hockey on Thursday night.
Even Florida’s players were impressed Linus Ullmarks stake.
– He is a good and big goalkeeper who likes to play the puck. “Obviously we’ve outsmarted him before and we’ll do it again someday,” the Florida quarterback said Aaron Oakleaf after the loss.
In the first period, Ullmark was extra hot and saved all 15 shots fired at the Boston goal. At the end of the first period gave Charlie Coyle Boston management, assisted by Swedish Hampus Lindholm and Danton Heinen.

The one who finally got a hole in Ullmark was Florida’s Finn Anton Lundell which equalized at 1–1 in the eleventh minute of the second period. But Boston scored two more goals in the period and kept the distance for the rest of the game with Ullmark as a wall at the back.
Florida again played without its captain Alexander Barkov who missed his second game in a row due to a knee injury.
So far, after 18 games, Boston has won 31 of a total of 36 possible points and is currently the NHL’s best team. But despite the top position, they have one fewer point than after the same number of games last season.
