Swedish star goaltender Linus Ullmark signed a four-year extension with his new NHL club Ottawa on Wednesday.
The new contract is worth close to 33 million dollars, corresponding to close to 343 million kroner.
– It’s a surreal feeling, says Linus Ullmark according to nhl.com.
The 31-year-old was traded to Ottawa from Boston this summer. In exchange, Boston received the Finnish goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalothe center Mark Kastelic as well as Ottawa’s 25th pick in the first round of the summer draft.

Ullmark had one season left on his previous four-year contract he signed with Boston in 2021, then worth $20 million.
In 2023, he was awarded the Vezina Trophy, the prize for the NHL’s best goaltender, as the third Swede ever.
