After being poked for a month, Linus Klasen finally got to play for Djurgården again.
He was the scorer directly in the 5-1 victory against Västerås.
– I have been training. Alone… I was alone on the ice, he tells Sportbladet.
Many raised their eyebrows when Djurgården announced that Linus Klasen38, would train on his own for a while to improve his fitness and get in better overall shape. Even himself. But after being poked for a month, and missing eight games in the hockey Allsvenskan, he was back on Wednesday evening.

In fact, Klasen entered himself directly into the goal report. He scored Djurgården’s fifth goal in the 5-1 win against Västerås. The team has 41 points and is fourth in the table. They have one less game played than one Björklöven, who are five points ahead. Djurgården travels up to Umeå to face the series leader on Friday.
Linus Klasen has chosen to lie low and not talk to the media during the time he has been benched. But after the victory, he couldn’t resist giving an interview. Then he broke the silence about the tough time at the club. But first it was about the joy of being able to play and score goals again.
– It was nice. It will come sooner or later. I knew I was going to make sticks today. You’ve played a lot of hockey in your career… it’s a bit of timing, but it will come. It will be good, he tells Sportbladet.

He was out of the team for a month and trained a lot on his own or together with players who were half-injured, for example Dick Axelsson. This is what he says about the difficult time:
– I’ve been training, that’s all I have to say… I’ve been training. Alone… I was alone on the ice. I have had good company with Ölvestad (Jimmiephysical trainer) and the gang on the ice. It has been tough some days. I’ve been training, it’s nothing strange
Klasen says that since he played professional ice hockey for 20 years, he has experienced most of it. It has made him mentally strong. Therefore, he has not wanted to talk to the press before or wanted to make a big scene. He has only “rubbed” on and waited for his chance.
– I didn’t react. I just drive. I have such a fucking skull it’s ridiculous. They know what kind of player I am, there is no difference… I knew what was required, no weirdness on my part. Of course you want to play. As I said: I have drilled my head down and driven. You have trained hard. Of course there will be a difference… there has been a lot of training, hard. I’ve been driving and not thinking much else, he says.
