The disallowed goal in question came in the second period when a long-range shot found its way past Christoffer Rifalk in Rögle’s goal, where Linus Johansson had been in contact with Rifalk.
Immediately when the goal was ruled out, the team captain was clear with his opinion. During the break, he shared his thoughts.
– I don’t know exactly what the rules say. But of course you are stronger than the hill there. He pushes me in at the end so I touch the goalkeeper. Embarrassing that it won’t be a goal. I get pushed in, he told TV4 Play.
That particular 2–1 goal was not allowed to remain on the scoreboard, but league leaders Färjestad scored a new one in the third period. With 37 seconds left in regular time, Joakim Nygård scored the game-winning goal.
A nice victory for Färjestad, who before this had three straight overtime losses.
