Linn Svahn got his entire World Cup destroyed due to a concussion.
Now it is unclear when she can be back in the ski track – it will not be this season anyway.
In an interview with the Sports Bible, she reveals what she would like to do in life if she did not have skiing.
Few skiers have been in such bad luck in recent years as Linn Svahn25. In the World Cup 2021 in Oberstdorf, she competed with a serious shoulder injury that she had suffered shortly before that. She also missed the 2022 Olympics in Beijing because of that injury. And in the 2023 World Cup in Planica it was still reminded.
Linn Svahn’s injury before the World Cup
Before this World Cup in Trondheim, she had been preparing for a long time and she was healthy and strong for once.
“I never think I’ve had an honest chance,” she told SVT Sport for the World Cup.
– I had to learn in 2021 that no matter how good form I am in, it is not possible to go with a damaged body. I learned in 2023 that it is possible to succeed very well without optimal preparation. So it is not possible to patch up a broken doll, but if I am whole we can do a lot in a short time. I learned that, she continued.

But then the unexpected and sudden accident came just a day before the World Cup. When she sowed in a downhill, she fell and hit her head. She was forced to leave the championship, before it even started, with a concussion.
– Of course she is not feeling well. It is sad what has happened, but not so much to do. She is, of course, sad and saddened, but gathered. The doctors said it is impossible (to compete), which makes the decision easier, said her personal trainer personal trainer Ola Ravald to Sportbladet shortly after the accident.
Linn Svahn’s words about career
A few days after the World Cup is over, it is still quiet about Linn Svahn’s status. Since only three World Cup competitions remain (Holmenkollen March 15-16, Tallinn March 19 and Lahti March 21-23), it is unlikely that she will compete any more this season. Instead, she learns to recover and get used to the body during lighter exercise soon again.

So there is no new message about her health right now. However, Linn Svahn himself delivered a kind of future message to the Sports Bible for this season, or at least a career message. When asked what she would really do if she was not a skier at the elite level, the answer came surprisingly quickly.
– I last said I would have opened a gallery. Love paintings, she tells the Sports Bible and continues:
– I don’t paint myself, but I can find people who paint nicely and take them to my gallery.
It remains to be seen if Linn Svahn saddles to a gallery on the day she chooses to put the skis on the shelf. However, we hope that it will be a couple of years until that day.
We hope you are getting on quickly, Linn! It was so unfair that you missed the entire World Cup – extreme bad luck for you. We are many who really wanted to see you in the ski track in Trondheim.
