Linn Svahn has had to leave the ski World Cup without even competing.
The Swedish ski star is thus again losing a World Cup medal.
Now Svahn gives his first words about the tough message.

Svahn’s nightmare
But on Thursday morning before the sprint qualification came the nightmare message that destroyed everything. Svahn had fallen over on the last hill down towards the goal during a workout and hit the back of the head.

A feared concussion caused the Swedish national leadership to pull the handbrake.
– She felt very bad last night but got to sleep a little tonight. It was double negative with the distress and the concussion. She was still quite collected last night, says Linn’s personal trainer Ola Ravald To SVT and tells more about how the accident went.
– It was a combination with the fact that there were a lot of people at the same time as made it harder than usual. More mislead that it became as it became, she says. She got stuck with the ski in some way. They tested Max to see where the boundaries were, Ravald explains.
Linn’s first word
Despite the case, Linn Svahn still wanted to go the World Cup sprint on Thursday. But in the end, the winning skull had to give way and already on Thursday she left Trondheim to fly home to Östersund.
– Yes, when I talked to her in the middle of the day a couple of hours after the fall, she thought it felt pretty good and was quite positive that it could go. Then gradually in the afternoon and evening it only got worse and worse. She realized that it was not normal, Ravald admits to the TV channel.

With her first words after the incident, Svahn is happy that she was stopped from the premiere of the ski World Cup.
“It is better that the doctors made this decision that I should not compete instead of having to take it myself,” Svahn told his coach.
– In this case, there was not a chance to stay, but she must be isolated in a dark room. Had it been possible, she would have done so (to cheer on the teammates). But now it is not even a thought to be able to do it, says coach Ola Ravald.
