Ebba Andersson wins SM gold in the three mile – again.
Then Linn Svahn says what makes everyone laugh.
– I don’t know if it’s something genetic, Ebba admits to Expressen.
The very last race of the long ski season has now been completed. The three-mile at the SC week in Boden had to end the seasons of our Swedish national team skiers, and it was dramatic on Tuesday.
Ebba wins gold
Lynn Svahn led for a long time though Ebba Andersson ate up the lead with every kilometer and by the last mile she was past the sprint specialist. Andersson eventually won the SM gold with a margin of eight seconds to the runner-up Svahn.

Immediately after the finish, Linn screamed, which got both SVT colleagues Jacob Hard and Anders Blomquist to burst out laughing.
– Ebba surely can’t have a seizure, Svahn shouted in the SVT broadcast.
– Ebba is a machine! I have a theory that the fast muscle fibers that are grateful in sprints don’t like running three miles. Ebba said she didn’t get a cramp, so I was right, says Linn Svahn to Expressen after the race.
Svahn dejected
Ebba Andersson was of course tired but also happy after another SM gold to the collection. She has now won five straight SC gold medals in the three mile, which is extremely impressive.
– Of course, it feels good to be able to finish in this way. I really had to struggle with keeping my composure during the ride, says Ebba to the evening newspaper and gives national team colleague Linn the right about the cramp.
– I have been quite spared from it, I don’t know if it is something genetic. Or if I’m just good at loading up with the right energy and carbohydrates. But today I managed to stay away from it.

Linn Svahn had a much tougher time with the cramping sensations.
– I had cramps for eight kilometers. I thought it felt good, but the body took Easter break after 20 (km), she tells SVT.
– It was just something to bite into… It was surprisingly little at the end. A little sour. But now I can put an end to this season.
