Now blue-yellow star skater Linn Svahn opens up about her worst rival.

– I think they really impressed last year and had a very strong season, says Svahn to SVT Sport.

The 23-year-old from Lycksele made a long-awaited comeback last season after almost two years of absence from cross-country skiing due to severe injuries. There were only five World Cup races and a best of fourth place, it was also her best placing during the WC when she missed out on a medal by the smallest possible margin twice.

Now she will take on new momentum together with the Swedish national skiing team towards the coming season. For the first time in a while, it will be a completely championship-free season and then the big goal will be to take up the fight with Norway in the World Cup.
– We must give them a match next year. But they are tough and won WC gold as well, so it is necessary that we do a good job together to be able to challenge them next year and we are prepared to put in the work required, says Linn Svahn in the interview.
