Linn Svahn wins again and an all-Swedish triple at the World Cup

Sweden’s great success in sprinting at the World Cup continues.
On Friday, Linn Svahn struck again and won the sprint final in Oberhof.
And Frida Karlsson and Jonna Sundling came second and third in a wonderful, blue-yellow triple.

Nothing and no one can compete with Sweden’s cross-country ladies in sprints. In Friday’s competition in Oberhof, there was a Swedish triple. Lynn Svahn was superior, before Frida Karlsson and Jonna Sundling.

It was total dominance from Sweden, with Svahn winning his third straight sprint ahead of Karlsson and Sundling. Both Svahn and Sundling have been part of Swedish triples before, but for Karlsson it was the first time she got on the podium in a sprint.
– A triple for Sweden, it’s great fun to achieve it again. It’s so much fun to be on the podium together with the girls, says Linn Svahn in Viaplay’s broadcast after the race.

Also Emma Ribom was in the final, and finished sixth. On the men’s side, there were no Swedes in the final.

Nor the Norwegian superstar Johannes Høsflot Klæbo made it to the final – but even without him, Norway delivered. Erik Valnes won first Ansgar Evensen and Even Northug.
