Linn Svahn was part of the Swedish squad that was to compete in the French Les Rousses this weekend.
Suddenly there was new news about the sprint star.
“She is too stressed for competition at the moment,” the national team writes in a press release.
First World Cup weekend after the Tour de Ski – then the big stars Frida Karlsson, Jonna Sundling and Calle Halfvarsson back in Sweden’s squad. Sadly, it is instead another of our greatest hopes that must be over.
Sad news about Linn Svahn
Just a couple of hours after the squad was presented, the national team was forced to make a change. Lynn Svahn25, was initially included because she was going to run Saturday’s sprint, but then came a new announcement. A boring one.
“Update: Linn Svahn, together with the coaching team, has decided to withdraw from the World Cup in Les Rousses and Engadin, as she is not fully recovered after the tour,” they write in a press release.

Svahn therefore not only misses this weekend, but also the next World Cup weekend in the Swiss Engadin.
“She is too busy for competition at the moment and is instead focusing on a training period to create the best conditions for the WC in Trondheim,” writes the national team.
Comeback for Frida Karlsson
It was more fun then Frida Karlsson who is making a comeback after several weeks of training and recovery. She has not competed since December 6, when she came fourth in the 10 km freestyle in Lillehammer. The 25-year-old was forced to stand over the entire Tour de Ski.
“Feels a bit like I’ve done everything pretending and been in my own little world lately. But! Time to get back into the game!! Against Les Rousess and the World Cup,” she writes on Instagram.

The championship runs until March 9, when the women’s five-mile is decided. Then there are three more World Cup competitions before the season ends.
How sad for Linn Svahn who has to focus on her now to get healthy and strong before the WC in Trondheim. There is not much time left now before the championship starts. Hello all talented Swedish skiers!
