Things continue to be difficult for Linn Svahn in the Tour de Ski.
After Wednesday’s hunting start, she got angry with SVT’s reporter in the middle of an interview, when he asked if it was obvious for her to complete the competition even though it had gone so badly.
– So, those are absolutely deplorable questions, she says.
For Lynn Svahn25, the start of the Tour de Ski has been challenging to say the least. Everyone knows that she has her strengths in sprints, but even there she has not been able to perform. She surprisingly already went out in the quarter-finals in the opening sprint. She has since come 9th, 21st and 19th in the three other distances.
Linn Svahn’s weak effort at the start of the hunt
After four out of seven races, she is in 15th place in the overall standings. She is a full 4.15 minutes behind the Norwegian Astrid Öyre Slind and is behind both Moa Ilar and Ebba Andersson in the results list.
– It feels better than what is going on, she tells SVT, while refusing to speculate on whether the skis and the ridge are slipping:
– Don’t know. I will not comment anything about it.

Linn Svahn came in 19th place in Wednesday’s pursuit start, 3.49.2 minutes behind the winner Astrid Öyre Slind, who also leads the overall. The Swede advanced two places in the overall standings, but lost in the same crank two minutes against the Norwegians at the top.
Linn Svahn’s angry response to SVT
After the race, she was asked by SVT about how it feels when things don’t go exactly as she wants and hopes.
– It’s tough. But it’s a tour and a new day every day with new races. You just have to try to do something good, she says.

When the SVT reporter asked a follow-up question, Svahn completely blacked out. She thought he was going too far and asked a stupid question.
– Has it been obvious to you to drive on even though it has been so difficult?, asks the reporter.
– So, those are absolutely deplorable questions. Because everyone standing here wants to complete. So I think like this… A little respect that we do our best all the time and stop asking such questions because what would it be like if it doesn’t work out and everyone starts breaking up?, she answers.
