Linn Svahn is known for her hot temper.
Now she admits what actually happened during the huge fight with Ebba Andersson.
– I was prepared to take a fine, because I knew that would happen, she says in the SVT program “Kallprat”.
She has had to fight hard in recent years but now is finally here Lynn Svahn back in the world elite again. After breaking through as a 20-year-old, the Swede suffered severe shoulder problems that required double operations and two years of rehabilitation to fully recover.
Weak back
During the Tour de Ski, Svahn finally got to show the skiing world his full potential again by winning three of seven stages. And it is a completely new and more harmonious Linn who is skiing these days.

The 24-year-old has managed to calm himself and his hot temper with a very short stubby.
– I’m much better at handling it now than before, I think, admits the national team Swede in the SVT program “Kallprat”.
– When they have met you in an interview context. You’re great when things go well, but it’s not always as fun when things go bad. It shows extremely much that you don’t want to do an interview when things have gone badly, replies the presenter Johan Kücükaslan in the interview.
– Then you have to think that I was quite a young puppy. But that’s a bit… It’s never fun to fail. Maybe it shouldn’t be fun, but I have to deal with it. I never think that a situation like the one in Ruka three years ago would happen today, says Linn.
Quarrel with Ebba
Svahn talks about the high-profile fight with his teammate Ebba Andersson during the World Cup race in Ruka 2021. Where the sprint specialist fell and accused the national team colleague of having knocked her down.
– It’s just so damn sad. It’s just so damn unnecessary. I think I was framed. By Ebba, said a furious Linn right after that race.

Since then, it has been quiet about the infected national team quarrel, but now Linn Svahn reveals what really happened when she gets to see the pictures again in the TV program. And that she is ashamed to see herself in the three-year-old interview.
– That is embarrassing to see. Because it’s not handled well, but I know how it was seconds before – I didn’t want to be there (and answer questions). I was prepared to be fined, because I knew that would happen. You might think that I should have restrained myself, but apparently I couldn’t, she tells Kallprat.
– I was 20 years old and I was like this: “The world will fall apart if I don’t succeed in this”. If it had been today, I don’t think I would have been as disappointed. First, I hadn’t sworn.

The relationship with Ebba Andersson is good today and that quarrel is not something that remains with the teammates three years later.
– That was sorted out before we got on the plane home to Östersund. Sports are emotions and everyone who does it and everyone who is a part of it in some way knows that. Nothing can bring a group together like sports, but also tear it apart. It’s emotions at their peak, says Svahn about the situation.
