The Swedish national ski team is loading up for the WC season.
Then two of the largest, blue-yellow star skaters give their clear message.
Linn Svahn and Ebba Andersson now open up about the new decision.
When there are championship years in cross-country skiing, as it is now, a given question always comes to all skiers. But what about the Tour de Ski then?
Skiing WC awaits
The mini-tour around Christmas and New Year usually ends up in a pinch when the riders are aiming for an Olympics or a World Cup and need to get in extra much-needed training. But for this winter, we are now seeing a trend break.

New for this season is that the Tour de Ski will only be raced in Italy. Which means significantly less traveling and therefore a less tiring tour.
Linn and Ebba
Now the Swedish national team skiers give their clear message ahead of the ski season.
– I want to compete quite a lot, I think it works well for me. I want to run the Tour de Ski and I plan for it to fit into the plan, says Lynn Svahn to SVT.
– I have a basic plan, which includes the Tour de Ski. So I will not opt out, says Ebba Andersson.

More Swedish skiers give their views on this year’s Tour de Ski:
– The basic plan is to try to compete quite a lot, and the Tour de Ski is there, says William Poromaa to the TV channel.
– I think I will go on the tour, if everything works as it should, says Calle Halfvarsson.
But the national team manager Anders Byström warns, however, that there may be some dropouts when winter comes.
– We have a lot of people who have thought both here and there, but haven’t made the final decision yet. So we’ll probably have to wait until the fall, he says, and doesn’t want to go into more detail about which riders it applies to.
