Linn Svahn has never won a major championship medal.
She wants to change that in Trondheim.
– Medals are of course something I want, she tells the Sports Bible.
She made her World Cup debut in March 2019 and already the following season she won the entire sprint cup. Linn Svahn25, made a comet career before the injuries put a stop to her. In September 2021, seven months after a case that caused a shoulder injury, she was operated on. Then she was gone for a long time and missed the Olympics in 2022. The World Cup 2021 and 2023 was also affected by her injury situation.
Linn Svahn has no championship medal
This is really the first time Linn Svahn has come completely injury -free to a world championship. She has admittedly missed part of the season due to illness, but it has been a different season and many of her competitors have also been missing a lot this year.

Since she has never really been able to attend a World Cup, it has been difficult for her to be able to take any medal. In fact, she did not take any championship medal during her career. It’s up to proof now.
– Don’t really feel so pressed. I don’t think I’ve had an honest chance for a single year. I just want to get the opportunity to drive it for once without any problems before. Then of course there is something I want (medals), she tells the Sports Bible.
Svahn’s important words about the press
Svahn does not think it is difficult to handle the pressure that others put on her, it does not worry her. However, it is clear that she has high demands on herself and that she aims to take a World Cup medal.
-There is probably more to myself that it feels valuable and important than that I feel any pressure on the basis that it will not stand on my Wikipedia page, she says.

Are you disappointed or angry if there is no medal?
– I don’t know, I think so because I think it means a lot to me. It still feels important every now and then. Then a week after I probably couldn’t care much more.
