Mona Brorsson has done her last competition as a biathlete.
Now friend and teammate Linn Persson pays tribute to her.
“Thank you for sharing my career with you,” writes Linn on Instagram.
On Sunday did Mona Brorsson his very last World Cup competition as a biathlete. It was already in connection with the Biathlon World Cup in February that the 33-year-old revealed that he is putting the rifle on the shelf after the current season.
Brother’s farewell
The mass start in Canadian Canmore was her big farewell to her sports career. Then Brorsson finished by making 19 of 20 shots and finishing in 20th place.
– So damn nice. It was a brutally difficult race, she admits in the SVT broadcast.

The Swede was highly praised by her teammates in the national biathlon team and a large “Thank you Mona” banner was unfurled in her honor. After 12 seasons and a whopping 250 starts at the World Cup, Mona Brorsson will be sorely missed on the tracks and on the shooting range.
Persson’s tribute
Over the years, she has become extremely popular with the Swedish people, where many appreciate her fine personality and important qualities as a teammate. There were a total of two individual podium places and sixteen in teams at the World Cup, as well as an Olympic gold, an Olympic silver, a WC silver and three European Championship golds on Brorsson’s track record.

Now the friend and teammate is relieved Lynn Persson on his heart to pay tribute to the fantastic biathlete and human being.
“Thank you Mona! Thanks for sharing a big part of my career with you!
You are an incredible athlete, fantastic teammate and most of all a very very good friend. You can be so proud of your fine career and I’m sure you’ll have just as much success with whatever you come up with next!”, writes Linn on Instagram, see below.
