Linn Persson is one of the biathlon national team’s most popular skaters.
But now the 27-year-old changes his name and shows off the great happiness.
During the weekend, Linn married her husband Christian.
On Saturday, it was a day of love in Östmark’s church, outside Torsby in Värmland. The Swedish national team hero in biathlon who won Olympic gold and salvaged Olympic silver, three WC silver and three WC bronze finally got his big day and then thanked Lynn Persson yes to the crucial question.
Linn’s wedding
The 30-year-old married her longtime boyfriend Christian Gestblom and many national team colleagues were there to immortalize the memorable day, see the pictures below. The sisters Hanna Öberg and Elvira Öberg, Martin Ponsiluoma, Stina Nilsson, Jesper Nelin, Anna Magnusson and Peppe Femling shone with their names on the guest list.

Also Mona Brorssonwho recently retired, was at the wedding and also gave a speech.
– It was difficult because I was so moved, Brorsson admits to the local newspaper NWT.
Changing name
It was Linn who proposed to Christian on the day of the shooting four years ago, February 29, 2020. Four years later, they are now husband and wife, and Linn Persson is also changing her name in connection with the big life event.

From now on, she will be called Linn Gestblom. She herself admits that it was never relevant to keep the name on which she built her entire sports career.

Tough season
After a tough season plagued by injuries, surgeries and new setbacks, this will be a new start for the Swedish national team skater. Ahead is further rehabilitation to come back from yet another recent surgery.
– It is slowly but surely progressing and I am becoming more mobile, she tells NWT about the injury, Linn tells the local newspaper.
– There is still a lot of rehab. I’ll take the safe bet and hold off on shooting until I’m a little more stable.
The 30-year-old has his sights set on being in full swing again for the season premiere in winter. Then she does it as a reborn skater and a married wife with the new name Linn Gestblom, good luck!
