Access to the southern terminus of line 14 is not as simple as you might think; you need a special ticket.

To get to Orly airport via line 14 since June, users must pay not a regular metro ticket at 2.15 euros, but a ticket at 10.30 euros full price or 9.40 euros reduced price (children from 4 to under 10 years old and other beneficiaries). Fortunately, this exceptional rate does not apply to the other stations on line 14, which now crosses 10 municipalities in 3 departments. And good news:Holders of a Navigo zone 1 to 4 pass are spared: the connection is included in their subscription. But for others, in particular tourists who will use the line during the Paris Olympic Games, with 700,000 travelers expected every day during the competition, It’s a real headache.
The Orly Airport Ticket is required for all users, except holders of the Navigo Pass zones 1 to 4, who wish to go to Orly airport via line 14 or who wish to leave Orly airport via line 14. This ticket allows you to go anywhere in Paris as well as in Île-de-France via the RER or the metro in zones 1 to 5. For example, it is possible, with this ticket, to reach Disneyland Paris via Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy from Orly airport. With this Orly Airport Ticket, it is just not possible to reach the airport via the RER B and the Orlyval line, a journey also subject to special pricing. The ticket is available for digital purchase via the Île-de-France Mobilités or Bonjour RATP applications, or via machines or points of sale in train stations and stations. You have two options: either by loading it onto a Navigo Easy pass purchased in advance for 2 euros at a train station or station or via the Île-de-France Mobilités application, or by downloading it directly onto your smartphone via one of the two applications. With this second option, you use your phone to validate your journey at the gates. Since its extension, line 14 has become the first metro line to connect an airport, but also the only line in the Parisian transport network to deviate from the single-fare rule.
